Staff Profiles

Maria Dailey, Owner

My name is Maria Dailey and I have Masters degrees in Accounting and Library Science. Both areas involve attention to detail and strong organization skills which are areas in which I excel. I am a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners and the National Association of Enrolled Agents. I have over 15 years’ experience as a Staff Accountant and Enrolled Agent for small accounting firms in the area and have taught accounting courses at Central Carolina Community College, Methodist University, and Harnett County schools.

I have always enjoyed the bookkeeping aspect of accounting which over time has led to income tax preparation. I enjoy working with individuals and small businesses. After working for others, I eventually decided to venture “on my own” and start Anderson Creek Accounting Services. I started my business on a part-time basis in 2018 in order to serve a few small businesses and individuals in the area and decided to make a permanent move to full-time entrepreneurship in January 2020.

I specialize in individuals, self-employed, and small businesses.

My goal is to maintain a personal relationship with my clients. I strive to enhance the client’s understanding of the recordkeeping requirements needed to maintain compliance with reporting to various agencies. Good, clean bookkeeping and planning improves the transition to tax preparation and compliance reporting.

In addition to my college education, I continue to update my skills and knowledge by attending workshops and completing on-line webinars and coursework on an on-going basis. Tax law is constantly changing and it is imperative to continuously attend professional development opportunities in order to offer the best services possible.

I grew up on a Harnett County farm and appreciate the value of hard-work and dedication. I have been married since 1989 and my husband, Troy, is a long-time employee of South River Electric. He is a former paratrooper and a transplant from Kentucky. We currently reside in Lillington and have two adult daughters and several wonderful grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
